The organisation has initiated welfare programme for equine population in Unnao and Moradabad districts of Uttar Pradesh. The project is supported by the Brookes Hospital India.

Objectives of the project are:

• To mobilise the communities towards good preventive care practices and self-reliance in improving welfare conditions for their equines
• To make available quality curative health services to equine population through strengthened local health providers
• To strengthen and link other local stakeholders for improved resources availability and utilisation for equines

Baseline survey to identify the targeted working animal concentration points and the facilities available for their healthcare in these districts has been carried out.  Further interventions are being planned.
