In pursuance of the objective of creating awareness about right of women and keeping a check on rising incident of female foeticide a yearlong ‘’Manvi Sanrakshan Abhiyan commencing from human right day (December 10th) launched through the country Manvi Sanrakshan Abhiyan was also started by New School Samiti from the premises of ‘’Samagra Vikas Kendra” Takiya Nigohi Unnao on August 28, 2004 under the Chief ship of Smt. Mridul Singh, Chairperson Central Social Welfare Board New Delhi. The campaign was started with the formation of Human Chain Shouting slogans relating to the rights of women and their place in society by the staff of Samvedana Family Counselling centre and short stay home Unnao Women Members of SAWERA project of UPLDC Women folk of far flung village and girl students of the School. After this chairperson also visited the exhibition the posters and literates relating to female foeticide and effort being made for Capacity building of women organized by Jan Shikshan Sanshthan, Unnao. Sri SM Pandey Chairman New Public School while welcoming the chief gust and other dignatories emphasized that we have to develop a society where there is no discrimination between the haves and notes have equal rights and opportunities to both boys and girls are available and for this we will have to take positive steps to check female foeticide and provide equal opportunities of education to girls so that they may be able to contribute positively and become part to main stream of development. In this connect he also listed various project being currently run by the organization and gave assurance to continue them in future also.

Smt Mridula sinha also drew attention towards the rising incidence of female foeticide resulting in the imbalance of sex ratio and the role being played by Doctors and Diagnostic centre. She said that though a legislation to ban PNDT has been passed yet much has to be done in this field and this can only be possible through positive realization on the part of the community Smt Shakundala kaushik chairman UP state Social Welfare Board also asked women and girls to come out of the old tradition and believes and make sustain effort for their own development. Sri CK Pandey – CDO Unnao while appreciating the efforts of New Public school Samiti also assured the continuance of various facilities being extended for the uplift of women folk. Sri Ram Mohan Singh, Sr welfare Officer Unnao extended help in organizing the Abhiyan. Besides these efforts puppet shows depicting the ills of female foeticide exhibiting and camps for checking health status of girls and women were also organized with the help department of the district. Besides the multitude of women Sri PN Rai Secretary State Social welfare Board, Ms Preeta Srivastava Welfare Officer Sri Raj Mohan Singh Dr AR Gautam Dy CMO Mr Lal Bahadur Yadav, Health Education & Information Officer Mr Subhash Chandra Singh Project Manager UPLDC, Mr Grijesh Pandey District coordinator, UPLDC, Mr Daya Ram BDO Fatehpur Chaurasi, Mr S Bhushan Director – JSS Unnao Mr RB Singh Inch age Samagrah Vikash Kendra Local Public representatives. Villagers and staff members of different project run by New Public School Samiti also participate in the Abhiyan. Smt Mridula Sinha also appreciated the activities run by Samagra Vikas Kendra and Women Carpet Weaving centres financed by department of women & child Development Ministry of HRD Government of India.

The occasion was concluded with the presentation to chief guest Smt Mridula Sinha & Smt Shakundala Kaushik. Thereafter vote of thanks was given by the Secretary of the Managing Committee of the organization.
